A-SOuRCCE: AI for Single-cell Omics and Reproducible Cardiometabolic and Cancer Exploration
Grant amount: DKK 13.247.131
Modern biology can now measure the activity of thousands of genes in every single cell from a patient's tissue, creating detailed maps of diseases like cancer and cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. However, these maps are so vast and complex that the process of finding the disease-causing mechanisms has become a major bottleneck in research. This project will build A-SOuRCCE, an intelligent "AI co-pilot" designed to solve this challenge. Our AI agents will autonomously analyze complex single-cell data, connect its findings to a massive knowledge base of established biology, and then propose and rank the most promising new ideas about what drives these diseases. We are at a unique point in time where the data revolution in biology meets the AI revolution. By creating a synergy between these fields, A-SOuRCCE aims to dramatically accelerate the scientific process, helping researchers uncover novel therapeutic targets faster and delivering on promises of data-driven precision medicine.
