Proteins in CONTEXT
Grant amount:  DKK 13.217.196
Proteins are the main building blocks of our cells, and carry out a wide variety of functions. Even small changes in our proteins can change our risk of getting particular diseases. Understanding the molecular bases of how different proteins fit together (like Lego pieces), and which changes break these assemblies would go a long way in developing treatments to help individuals live a long and healthy life despite carrying certain genomic variants. In this project, we plan to integrate recently generated high-throughput data from molecular biology with machine-learning-based structural modelling to reveal the details of Lego protein assemblies, and explore how these interact with small-molecule drugs.
